gate of opportunities...

gate of opportunities...

A Story by yashasvi

its never too late
opportunity is standing there,
         wait 'o wait!

i unlock it with my lil keys
and look,
         there opens the gate!

takes just a lil while
to make it shine
         just as grapes
         sweeten "the wine"...

it may taste good
   in the beginning
but slowly
   it tears you within

with daunting tasks
  and a kiss of glory
you fall back
  n yes,
  slowly.......

it's then that you take time
  to realize
that the manor you built
  is
  crashing down ......

How true, I think we can all understand this. The feelings of victory as you realize the corner you are now stuck in your built up around yourself and you have no way out. The phrase the road to hell was paved with good intentions! I especially like the line "it may taste good
in the beginning
but slowly
it tears you within" Interesting outline for the poem as well it really lends to the feel of disorginization fraught with confusion!
