Leaving Neverland

Leaving Neverland

A Poem by Yaooooooo

Leaving Neverland

By

Jose M. Euvin

The children flew out the window

Never to be seen

To a world full of adventures

And Wendy became their Queen

She told them marvelous stories

Told them fairytales

Spoke of Cinderella

Spoke of witches and spells

They soon forgot their parents

In this wondrous land

They care only for their leader

Better known as Peter Pan

A brave soul who knew no fear

A child without a past

Living where dreams are made of

A placed called Neverland

Fighting thief and pirates

Flying from cloud to cloud

With his fairy guardian

Tinkerbell by his side

Soon the adventure was over

The children had to go to home

Leaving Neverland was painful

Yet all kids turn into adults

Except One!!!

My favorite childrens' story! I think I have all the Peter Pan movies and books! I enjoyed this poem. Some suggestion:

Fighting thief and pirates

"fighting theives and pirates"

TinkleBell by his side

"TinkerBell"... sorry, I chuckled at this. :)

The children had to go to home

"The children had to go home"

Loved it! Thanks for sharing!

I think this piece was very fun. It made me smile thinking of the movie/book from stanza to stanza. I think towards the end though you could have maybe added one more stanza before the last one just to sum it up a little better. It kind of went from fun to crap adult haha but this piece was unique from the ones that were posted beforehand. way to be original!

I thank you for stepping outside of the "heartbreak" rhythm....I was thinking about it last night, actually...and I find that it's all good n all that you are recovering from the loss, I find that it could be rather detrimental to keep wrapped in those feelings...

so seeing this...I had to smile, cause I adore the Pan tale, and Ive got the book, and the Disney toon, Hook, and Finding Neverland....

To become mature is one thing....to grow up.....something completely different!

This is really nice and tells the story in a wonderful way. I wish I had the chance to fly with them.

This was fun but towards the end the poem kind of lost its flow but it managed to keep its spirit. I liked it and you retold a fun tale. Nice work.

This is a fun filled adventure from begining to end. I like the way they all grow up except Peter Pan although I think that by everyone else leaving Peter is faced with the reality of growing up himself. I do like
the way you left it rather open to the reader. Nicely done.

Very interesting and different... a step to the side from your usual work which I enjoy.
Reminds me that we all have to grow up... someday.
I'm sure someone will let us know when... won't they?
