Epiphany

Epiphany

A Poem by Old Soul Clique

I loved you enough to forgive and sugarcoat the past;
now I love myself enough to realize I don’t have to.
Beginnings.

It’s very freeing to realize your worth.
How valuable you are to yourself and to others.
Beauty.

Everyone possesses the power to shine and give light,
but not all have the strength to do so.
Sad.

There are takers and there are givers.
Givers give because they can and want to.
Takers consume in fear because they can’t.
Greedy.

Not realizing our life force is a renewable source.
The more we give, the more we get.
What we don’t give gets stale and is wasted.
Totally consuming the shell which once held it.
What a waste.

I really like the way you put feeling at the end of each stanza! :)
Also I think "posses" should be "possesses"

I used to be afraid of sharing my thoughts, fear of criticism. Now I realize that a novice at something I love, is better than a pro at nothing.....

All advice and critics welcomed :)
