Guilt

Guilt

A Poem by Jacob
"

About emotional and mental abuse, which is very hard to track and almost "normal" and about guilt it creates.

"

I was watching it

from down my height

big father face

eyes shooting fire

mouth widely open

white teeth in the big dark

hands are cutting air

here it comes

one, two, three

virtual blows

mother is there

standing fear in her eyes

even if she yells

her body shrinked

and I´m chained

frozen, stopped

I  am witnessing

my mother there

and doing nothing

very wrong

very wrong

they are big

and I need it fixed

I have to fix

How is it that people can do things like that? Especially to children. I will never understand how people can be so cruel. Or how mother's can ignore it, just out of self preservation.
My parents were the same and I have nothing but deep hatred for them, but poetry is a great way to express how you feel. And you do it so well.

I don't like complaining, but I can relate to this poem well and I love how you wrote:
"...and doing nothing
very wrong
very wrong
they are big
and I need it fixed
I have to fix"

For many victims of abuse this is true. Being I can relate to your work, I am excited to read more of your writings. Best wishes in your future writings!
