A Poem by Michael Handel
"

Pieces

"

Bubble pops---infinite sky colossus drops

dragging with it dreams dangling from

starbeams pierce person's sinews seams tear

stagnant air overwhelmed oscillating universe

won't stop expansion felt tension held urban decay

neo-fascist caucosoid callous mind heart collapse

heavy caskets spilt coffee newborns born burning

world's still turning buildings buckle

sub-races rise elephants eyes opened in

darkened rooms now stare out

I enthroned upon a throne of debutantes

mother's dreams, deviancy, vapidly vexed

reincarnated romantic ramblings and---

I hate the Sun. I hate what it does.

I don't trust its permanence, pertinence

and its eight-seconds-behind-the-times ways

I want my throne to be built of bones and

broken flower petals

my home a heaven built from hell

my lower castes composed of cats

my concubines clones created from hybrids

of Winona Ryder and/or Minnie Driver

who speak of nothing else but adoration

of the cats and of me
