Shattered StarlightA Poem by Michael Handel
This shattering shiver, September's itch opaque in moonlight, her lover's kiss his shattered shyness, month of nowhere this blackened heart, it glows in starlight the creeping midnight, crawling Autumn rage like ancients, Furies calling on fractured Earth, at Tuesday's dying our lips exploding, tongues fell silent the stars went flying, clocks were broken Moon was missing, we were chosen his hand was taken, hers were open into her heart, his heart was going their shattered distance, on oceans open fragments, pieces, oneness, closing his lover's kiss, opaque in moonlight in glowing starlight, September's Autumn
