The wasteland beckons

The wasteland beckons

A Poem by yacob

The sea has risen,
The heat has become unbearable,
The air unbreathable.
Man's greed has laid waste to not only our home,
But the home of all other life before us.
We have become a mockery of nature.

The wasteland beckons,
with the promise of power and wealth,
for the richest few who steer the ship of humanity.

This power's use shall be short lived, however.
For what use is power,
if there is no one alive to exact it upon?

Something not understood and therefore not lived by those who falsely believe they are safe from the destruction we are creating. Well said and sadly true. -carl

What has what mother nature done to our environment? is it a wasteland? certainly global warming has left us stunned... everything is upside down... floods, extreme heat, desert, mudslides, hurricanes, tornadoes and more...yes, we are left little, and even less, no power to change.... maybe the upper crust can manage, but the rest of us will suffer it's wrath.....

Power destroys lives and land.
Our world is going to become like the ruins of Mordor.

Yacob,
I've seen enough of humanity to know there are those who would burn it all down so they could rule the ashes...
