Temporary Death

Temporary Death

A Poem by vaguelyclear
"

What this is up to you, and please review!

"
the human closes the ghostly bars that allow
the world to enter a room.
the remnants of the moon's light filter
in,
then are cut off, like compliments
to a mind.

memories are pasted into a scrapbook and
its pages absorb the sticky tears
the mental tears of paste as forgotten memories
of the day resurface in the lake it created.
the lake drains in the
temporary, necessary death,
supervised by the moon.
the cadaver is woken with the sun.
and resumes the cycle of
paste
die
wake
like the momentary decease never happened.
the memories, however, are
pasted forever.
and one day, the scrapbook will reopen.

Yes, there is a complete lack of capitalization. Yes, that is meant to be so.
