AnotherA Poem by AlAnother shot, another bowl, another hit Number with each passing day Your name slowly fading, along with everything else I once
held dear Nothing matters, nothing stays Oh how dangerous a feeling, to have nothing to lose To have no heart, no love, emotionless. The sky alight with bright colours, artificial bliss Inhale, exhale Pale purple clouds blot the night Inhale, exhale Fluorescent green trails across the sky Inhale, exhale Bright green eyes in my mind The one piece of you I’ll never forget The way they stopped sparkling like they used to, The way they stopped lighting up, When you saw me. Another, another, another Drown you out More, more, more Drowning myself Until there’s nothing left Nothing more of the girl you once knew Of her heart that you once held Of her smile you once caused Of her happiness you now broke. © 2016 Al |
