Viewing from afar

An older poem of mine.

Viewing from Afar

I look at you and see your face

I watch you walk with an unknown grace

I see your eyes that sparkling blue
I’m watching you but you have no clue

I look away for fear you’ll see

That the eyes you feel are coming from me

I notice the way your hair shines

The way I want you to be mine

But then I learn that SHE has you

And that there is nothing that I can do

So I’ll keep admiring from afar

All the time wondering where you are
