I guess I'm Lost

An older poem of mine.

I guess I’m lost

 

We weren’t together

Yet my heart still loved

That boy who I swore

Was from above

I guess I was wrong

He must be from hell

‘cause he hurt me bad

I guess I just fell

And no one’s there to catch me

The one who already loves

Who’s never asked for more

Than a boyfriend to care and love

I guess I’m lost

And all alone

Sadly sitting

On this stone

I need a guy

Who’s sat there before

Whose heart someone else

Has tore

Someone who knows what I’ve been through

And loves me all the same

I guess it’s just too much to ask

‘cause that guy still hasn’t came
