Scream

Scream

A Poem by Gabrielle Lynn

SCREAM
Go to sleep, girl
It'll be alright
I know it's hard for you
To fall asleep at night
You hear voices
They whisper threatening things
I promise you, they are nothing
they're just fiction beings
She's a figment of my imagination
She's a gust in the wind
She'll go away soon
But I guess until then
I'll live on
So stay alive, freind

Interesting switch of perspective in the middle. Who is she? Is she the girl? Someone else? Is the girl not real? So many questions...

For some reason I can't get past "fiction beings". Fictional strings? I don't know.

Great Read.

Perfect emotion.
Made me feel as though I was getting a bedtime story.
I would love to see other pieces of writing that you have because I see you have a way with words to grab our attention. Well done
