A Light Went Out In The World Today

This was written in memory of Jordan Trowsdale, A 13year old boy who was found dead on Boxing Day 2009. He was so important to many people I know so I wrote this for him.

A light went out in the world today,

When your soul grew wings and flew away,
You left behind all those that you loved,
But we know you are waiting up above.

 

A light went out in the world today,

And everything else just turned to grey,

The colour left, along with your life,

The pain stabbed through like a cold steel knife.

 

A light went out in the world today,

When a power decided you couldnt stay
There won't be a day when we forget your name,

Your death will never have been in vain.

 

A light went out in the world today,

But we will see you again someday,

We will never forget and never lose faith

We will see you again in a better place.
