The day has ended,
The dream is gone ..
The mind wanders
Hither-tither
Like a pawn
That has lost quite
Its way, its mirth,
And its friends ..

But tread
Into the waters of the future it must
Stripped, uncertain and alone ...
Survive it must -
Clinging on to the memories
(Sunny and warm)

To give shape to
But a few
Of the million yarns
That dreamy eyes had woven
In times assuring and skies clear ...

The poem's overlighting imagery and tone is both bleak and sad, although with yearning feeling. The black and white bleak photograph also adds more somnolent tone to the work. It is sad ... and heartfelt to cherish.
