ShadowsA Poem by RoyShadows on the pavement, Under the street light. Some hurry home, some linger And grow with the night. Some exhausted, after the toil of day, Some entwined in amorous play. Some toddle, some trudge, Two best friends each other nudge. As the night draws on, Lonely, cold and dark, A timid one appears in the distance, grows slowly, Halts, hears a pin drop. And darts into the haze. And a lone soul, lovelorn, sleepwalks: Oblivious of his days And nights. © 2013 RoyAuthor's Note
