I Only Beg, That You Take Me AwayA Chapter by CarmenChapter 2 Sierra looked around as the road had constant bumps. She couldn't fall asleep due to the constant motion. It had been nearly five hours, before the wagon made a really heavy sound. Sierra had paused to look at the children, nearby. There was a person walking around the wagon just to check the children to make sure nothing had happened to them. Sierra was the first one that was dragged out by the cruel man. She had to keep her balance since the man was walking faster then her. He seem like he didn't want to be here right now. The streets were filled with a lot of dead people or either alive, but their had been news from neighbor countries about this sickness. Its been killing millions of people. There hasn't even been an actual count. We are all afraid of being caught in this disease, so our country has been almost sealed off for a month already. The city was nearly sealed off, but our country has been weakened over the days. So as you can see our country grew weak enough to be invaded. Sierra knew her life was nearly over by this. She was probably going to be sick and die, too. She was always clean and everything, but she had also heard about the bodies being burnt. Sierra hated this she was afraid of death and everything. She was constantly being dragged by the older man. Sierra looked at him, and sighed as her wrist hurts. She was clueless of what to do. They soon entered a building that had a dark and had a grim atmosphere. In a way it sorta suffocating with this grim atmosphere, almost like a prison. She was thrown into a bedroom. There were a small opening, it was enough to see through, but it wasn't enough to escape. The man soon left her alone, she thought that he had went to get more people, but it was late already. So maybe they had already gotten it enough. The room was design with huge stone rocks. The stone had left the floor cold and chilly. On the side there were hay, the hay had only enough space for on person to sleep, but it wasn't too comfortable and neither was it too hard. Sierra touched the space between the walls, which was consider a window. There were echo in the hall with loud groans of regret and sorrow. She didn't want to be alone, but she had to bare with the loud sound that drove her insane. She touched the cold hay, but like other they all wish to get out and be free. Sierra didn't think like that, she knew her parent hadn't save her that day. She had to find a way around it, but actually survive. Sierra laid on the cold hay as morning approached. She had wished it was a dream, but it wasn't. She tried to think of her mother and father's warmth, and without luck they didn't even appear on that night. Did they even care for her? She tried not to think about it for today, but there was suddenly a really loud bang on the door. The loud jingles of key had rang throughout her head, she was frighten on the inside, but this child had never showed enough emotion. She had always been the quiet type. Sierra stumbled getting up as the door slammed on the other side of wall, hardly. The man had a cold stare, it seemed as if he didn't even cared about anybody or anyone. He looked at the child and threw food on the ground, "You will be working here for a very long time, don't you even think about escaping," He said with a very deep tone; which surprised her a bit. He soon dropped a trey on the floor and looked at the child with a glare, which meant he didn't like her at all. He left the room slamming the door shut. Sierra looked at the food. It the morning, she was hungry of course, but she wanted to survive and maybe get out of this mess one day. She touched the trey. It had only a piece of bread and a bowl of porridge. She didn't know if she can trust the food, but with the sickness going on she wasn't sure herself. She looked at the food a took a bite. She didn't like the food at all, but for survival she had to. She felt tears coming to her checks as she thought of her parents abandoning her yesterday. Sierra wiped away the tears. She shouldn't be thinking about these. Even if her parent had made out yesterday, how far will they get. She looked at the window, hoping for a way out. The blue skies had already turned dark for her. She remember the days of freedom looking out. The blue sky which had held clear and deep blue was now turning to an empty shell of wondering free cloud which are trying desperately to get away. Sierra had awoken with her daydreams shatter of loud key sound as the same man had many other children behind him, too. He didn't even looked at her and she knew that this was going to be a torture if she wanted to make it out.
