Cupid's Pitchfork

Simple yet complex. Short words for a long story.

Cupid's Pitchfork

So I kind of fell in love.

Broke both my legs in the process.

As if you haven't taken enough,

Half my heart is tucked away in your pocket.

It beats against your leg and screams every time you kiss her.

I can still feel it breaking.

You have described the piece in your synopsis pretty well. I think there is also a lyrical quality to it. It would make a great song if you were to elaborate on it some more.
I love the first line, the cautious, reluctant acknowledgement. Angsty.
I like it.
