Pointless Acts of BraveyA Poem by KGVThe only lyrics I ever wrote & liked.Pointless Acts of Bravery
My heart belongs to you, girl, you see. But you've found the worst of me. And another to take my place. Might as well rip my soul in half, spit in my face. I sit back and look at the scars of our bitter nightmare. Would it matter if I said that I still care? You scream false apologies and misleading directions. Were you ever really worth my affection? In the midst of this autumn's eve, I realize you wouldn't give a F**K if I were to leave. I made an ignorant mistake; to do again I'll never.. I promised I'd love you forever. My heart? Oh, it no longer exists. It's been ripped, crushed, balled up in your fists. Did you happen to read my letter over again? This tragedy was because you prefer him. I stand on the rooftop, gazing thirty stories below. Life suddenly tastes sweet as you come for the show. I move forward; step onto the ledge. And jump ever so casually from the edge. So, in the midst of this autumn's eve, A leap off a building made it easy to leave. In my pocket, lines screaming no hope, Was this lovesick kid's suicide note.
