Magnum (Hit Me as Hard as You Can)

Magnum (Hit Me as Hard as You Can)

A Poem by KGV
"

Fight Club, hello? I twisted it a bit to fit my own situation.

"

Magnum

You make me scared to open my eyes.

Every move you make reminds me.

You make me scared to close my eyes.

Everything reminds me, everything I see.

Your finger is on the trigger.

And my eyes stare down the barrel of your gun.

Can I blame you for my miserable life?

And forget about all the good you've done?

For a moment I forget about our tragic suicide.

My hand finds yours and our fingers entwine.

Of all the things we've accomplished, this I consider to be great.

I take my eyes off the gun and say, "It's too bad you were my fate."

A cocky smile forms on your face.

Our new beginning has a beautiful taste.

With my finger on your pulse..I was always wrong.

My hand was on the gun all along.

So I contemplate my fear and close my eyes.

You were the best that that ever happened to me, I realize.

I c**k the gun. It shines like a knife.

And I hold your hand tighter as I whisper, "You've met me at a very strange time in my life."

Nice work! God, you gotta love Palahniuk. If you haven't read his other works besides Fight Club, I think you will like them a lot. I suggest "Rant" and "Choke"
