Until They're Gone (Monster)

Until They're Gone (Monster)

A Poem by KGV
"

I wrote this five days after my father passed away. It's really just about how even when your heart is breaking, there's still going to be a reason to smile.

"

Until They're Gone (Monster)

The day will come when it hits like a train.
Adolescense is a memory that begs to sicken me.
I'm scared I'll get scared and my family will crumble.
I live with regret and a plastic smile.
A phone call could have made the difference.
I can't think about it..my heart cries as it shatters.
The indie scene warms cold eyes with originality.
The feeling of a new beginning keeps the monsters away.
Herbal scents filter through and make the sounds louder;
Sounds of laughing, joy and happiness.
And the volume has never hurt my ears.
These are the times I'll forever miss - the times when the world was infront of me.
Now I think the world has left me behind for a better future.
I could never hold them back. Am I selfish enough to try?
To grow up or to hide; that is the question.
Only the monster can answer.
