I'll Stand by You

I'll Stand by You

A Poem by caitlin

I know in the past
You’ve been hurt,
I know you’ve been betrayed,
I know your heart
Has been torn into pieces.
I can see it all in your eyes.
I can see the pain that you hide
In the tears you so desperately try
To hold inside.
Baby you can cry
When you’re with me,
You can let your tears fall,
Let all the hurt out.
Release the sadness and the hurt
That you’ve locked inside,
And if you’re angry
Then let that out too,
Let it all out
Because there’s nothing
You could ever do
That would ever make me stop loving you.
You can let your tears fall on my shoulder,
You can let your fists of fury
Fly into my chest
So release the pain that the others have caused
And I’ll still love you,
I’ll stand by you.
