WHY MINGLE THY BEAUTY WITH PRIDE?

WHY MINGLE THY BEAUTY WITH PRIDE?

A Poem by Dandy Mbuong
"

Beauty depends solely on the beholder's judgment. The mimosa pudica leaves is beautiful for its humility. Thus, for beauty to manifest there is humility to test. Pride is a killer of beauty.

"
Oh! My sweet Primrose
Why mingle thy beauty with pride?
For pride has compelled thy humility to hide
And forced arrogance from thee to expose.
My sweet little Primrose,
I recall when thy pride was inside
And then thy beauty showed outside
Only then were many charmed to thy toes.
But now my dear sweet lover
Like the Mimosa Pudica leaves
When touch will fold and quake;
So thy beauty shies and sleeps deeper
For the pride and arrogance it receives
Only now awaiting humility to awake
