Stringed

Stringed

A Poem by Eddie Venegas

It's thin
It's just a string
It's just a thing
It's not a sin
It's not bad
It's not good
Its not the right
Thing to do
It's almost evil
I bet It feels secure
It feeds your ego
But it's not the cure
Where's the blood from
Is that your heart
Where did you come from
Are you going far?
Are you coming back
Can I come with you
Will this wall crack
Can I sit with you
Can we still talk
Tell me what changed
Is there still love
Did it become hate
I can still see your soul
I can't see you tho
You've been gone
I feel so alone
It's been wearing down
This thing called hope
It's thin
It's just a string
It's just a thing
It's not a sin
It's not bad
It's not good
Its not the wise
Thing to do
..................
