 The senses are stimulated in her foot as she leaves quickly fading foot prints in the old carpet. The room is empty except for an old dusty couch and a broken mirror. She avoided the visible shards of shattered glass [but still getting a few pieces stuck in her foot] as she bent over and sat in front of the mirror. She ended on her knees.

She jerks her head so that her bangs swivel out of her face, even if only for a split second. Now she wishes that she didn't.

Her eyes resemble those of a raccoon, surrounded by black makeup. Eyeliner and mascara streaming down the sides of the face. There was a watery glaze over the bottoms of her eyes, the rest, bloodshot. Gravity pugged on her eyelids to make the tears overflow and drop.

She hates what she sees. The cracks in the mirror make her look even worse. Her dark-brown bangs swish back into center stage, covering her dreaded eyes.

The blush had worn off. She raised her hand and pulled the black hairband out from gripping the straight hair.

She wiped away the tears and tried to smooth the wrinkles out of her black dress. As she stands she finally realizes that her foot is bleeding. She closes her eyes and tugs at the glass, letting out a burst of tears and a slight shriek of pain. She stood and fell, back to the ground.

She silently sat... thinking... somewhat mumbling to herself..... wondering...... why.....
