Letters from an Open Heart #1

Letters from an Open Heart #1

A Poem by Alexander Foerster
"

The first from my series

"

There's a feeling inside like I did something wrong
Was there a mistake made, on the day I told you my feelings?
Bad timing?
Would never work?
Don't feel the same?
Won't feel the same?
I know I put myself out in the open to be shot down, to be trampled.
Will this affect our relationship, our friendship?
I know you're not in any condition for something new.
Your heart is in many pieces
Did I make it worse?
I know or at least feel as if I know I show you happiness.
I did not ask expecting an immediate answer
I know your pain; just know I am still here
I'm here to be different; to show you what you could not see
When you're ready I hope I could be the one to give you everything
Until that day I will be here, helping, waiting.

This is the first series I have ever done with my poetry; these words I use came straight from my heart and are very personal to me. If you do review this series please be thoughtful of my feelings I have poured into them.
