Broken

Broken

A Poem by Riley

It starts with a kiss,
Then it always moves to another moment of bliss.
Words whispered ever so softly in my ear,
But then the real you appears.
Once you finish, you are through,
And I lie alone, while you are with someone new.
They are always just lies,
Just to have a piece of me, you don’t care if a part of me dies.
Instead you take take take, all of my pride,
And ignore me once you’re done with my corpse that is empty inside.
You ignore my texts and phone calls,
And treat me like I’m nothing but a bug on the wall.
Why do I always fall for this foolish game?
Giving them what they want just so they won’t leave, but they do anyways, it’s always the same.
I’m always fooled by recorded verses that they say to assure me,
And why do they always pick me, wish they would just leave me be.
I’m sure they will come, and sure they will still take;
Even though there’s nothing left of me to break.

Like a good swim, I feel your words, broken,I try to say no from deep in my soul. But my voice is just a shiver.Stand tall look where you want to be, think it feel it, have the character to make the decision, feel your spirit, your motive, focus that purpose,
let the building calm carry you.

Your words reach out and tug on the hearts of your readers. A very emotive and sorrow filled piece. The ink is clear and very direct in its wording, which helps in bring across the power of the moment that this is thought upon.

One line particularly stands out for me. The 4th from the bottom. It speaks of all the coined lines that come, time and time again. It shows a lack of originality in the modern jerk. Perhaps that's the key to survival.. seek the original speaking soul.

Strong and tough ink.

Whoa this is extremely deep. Also very orginal and I agree it could be lyrics. Now to just find the right genre and artist lol. Still very good.
