Two RoadsA Poem by RileyTwo roads, two ways but which one should I choose? I hoped, I prayed I picked the path that led to you. But what if it wasn't my destiny, To take the path in front of me I can always try another path, and if it ends, I'll go back to the beginning, and start again. I tried a path and it was long, All to find that it was wrong. I pushed and shoved at the end trying to break a way through, Fighting unbreakable barriers just to stay with you. Finally I have come to see, That we were never meant to be. Even though the journey back was long, It gave me time to think, and grow strong. I know that somewhere there's gotta be, A path that's made, just for me. I don't know how many ends I will hit, till I find the one that's worth every bit, of my journey to the one who'll wash away my pain in their arms where they'll hold me tight, It's there when I'm soothed and immersed in their warmth, love, and protection, that I'll know I'll be alright. But here I stand in front of two roads, two ways, So which one should I choose, I hope, I pray, I pick the one that makes this dream come true.
