dreams

A Poem by Kimberly Wolke

The dreamer ceased to dream
Unaware of what he should be
Delirium from lack of sleep
Slowly turning man to beast
He's ready for the light he keeps
Strictly wearing tine he feasts
Waiting for the light to shine
Draining from his bloodshot eyes like wine
Trying is the worst of it
While seeing vest turn to fit
Holes I walls for holes in heart
Slowly tearing himself apart
