Toxic Knives

Toxic Knives

A Poem by Gitana Deneff

Weeks later and I am still not rid of you.

You are still able to sicken me with the things you said.

And I realize I am not completed cleansed of your poison,

Poison driven into me by your toxic knives,

Thrown by your quixotic tongue,

On that miserable day.
