The Road To TravelA Poem by jessjessits about not knowing, not wanting to, and finding yourself. There it is that fork in the road. But which road should I take? The right path is simple going on straight ahead The quiet life, the safe choice The road that is most traveled But to the left there is something different It twists and turns, you can’t see much ahead It keeps you on your toes, questioning The road that is much less traveled Anyone could be simple But do I dare be complicated Do i dare search for something more? Do I dare taking the long winding road? I could so easily choose my life’s simple out come To know where I am going to be sure of what is next So many before me have made that decision What makes me different from them? I have a mind, flesh, and a heart that bumps blood throughout me If they have turned out fine why wont I? Should I just stay on the safe side? Am I prepared? Is anyone prepared for the unknown? It grows darker and if I don’t choose soon I will have everything chosen for me I need to choose but the confusions overwhelming The indecision crawling under my skin. So I take my steps to the left And use my will power and strength And I make my life interesting On the road less traveled
