It Is

It Is

A Poem by Taylor Anne

It's the way her eyes are green with a subtle ring of brown and stripes of blue around the edges,

and it's the sound in her voice that whispers "I'm here for you" even when she says nothing at all,

It's the light I can see in her smile when I catch her looking at me from across the room,

and it's the noise she makes when she laughs that tells you she's not faking it,

It's the way she has me wrapped around that pretty little finger and she doesn't even realize it,

and it's how she has a metal wire restraining the fragile pieces of my heart,

It's the way she tricked me into falling in love with her,

and how i don't seem to mind at all,

It's the way I'm tripping head over heels for her,

and the way she's always there to catch me.
