Dust Where There Once Was LightA Poem by The Waterlily PadThis is part one of my inspiration for historical queens who had fell under helpless young love; this is for you Mahidevran sultan, Katherine of Aragon, Queen Castile etc :)
A rose has bloomed,
Petals all rich and deep in the shades of red, Thick stem with lively colour as green ink A music in all expressions Of art. Gracefully sealed with but three notes Of my ballad- Your scarlet letter written with your own pen. I had believed in fantasy- for a moment in my reckless life. Who had needed true love? If my love had all it's spice? Shhh... a silent secret within us two My harp playing your poet's tune. "My celestina, I, forevermore no king, I bow to you as a humble servant, To hear you melodically sing" Just so softly. Lull me with the words you speak, Touch me so ever tenderly, Experience me as so you dare to seek. Extravagant depths of love In all such colours. It's hasty notes in rhythm Your everlasting scarlet letter. Teenage dreams enveloping a mind of what we call now; Common sense. © 2015 The Waterlily PadAuthor's Note
