Open Up is Something I Can't do

I  want to love him

but I just can't trust him

Enough to let him in

and that keeps us apart

I once opened up

and it hurt me later

Because of that I have learned

to not trust anyone

I know I'm being irrational

because he isn't him

But the same concept is applied

because he can hurt me too

Open up is something I can't do

at least not right now

Just give me some time

and I'll try to trust again

Please understand

that I really do like you

It scares me knowing that

because now only you can distroy me

If I give you my heart

please try not to break it

It's done a lot of healing

and it's still not done

But I will understand

if you choose to leave me

Just do it now

so I won't hurt for too long
