I think I loved her more than him.

I think I loved her more than him.

A Poem by Nicola Taylor

He told me
we could sleep beneath the sheets
and pretend the moon came out between the thread count

He told me
everything I already knew about himself
and when he disappeared, his b*****d voice
dissipating into the the monster's mouth

I already knew
everything.

He told me
with every moonshine from cloud nine
and every cocaine lie going down like sunshine

He told me.

It's just,
lies don't believe themselves
without my help.
