Here I Lay

Here I Lay

A Poem by XMorris91
"

Life is more complex than we ever expected as individuals. What if your fears became a reality?

"
Why must these deep dark thoughts manifest themselves into reality?
Darkness that forged themselves from an existent beyond the understanding of man,
I ignored their existence,
I taunted their existence,
Even bragged about controlling them if there was a sliver of their existence.
Yet...here I stand,
No, here I lay,
Pained and broken.
Fear has no place here any longer,
Only disbelief.
These scratches wounded me deeply.
My sorrow worn on my sleeve.
Why...why…...WHY does this have to happen to me?
Only I.
Perhaps I deserved it,
Urged for it,
Or deep down even desired it.
Here I lay,
Forever broken,
Forever unspoken,
And Forever forgotten,
Here I lay.
