Child Abuse

Child Abuse is Neglectful, Physically, and emotionally wrong. The dictionary defines child abuse as bad treatment of a child under the age of 18 by a parent, caretaker, or someone living in their home, mistreating a youth in any harmful ways. Neglect means to fail to care for properly, ignoring something or not meeting its needs. Abuse is also neglect to physical to emotional, and sexual interactions. We have to stop this nonsense, we have to. According to www.childwelfare.gov , neglect is the most commonly reported child abuse. Child abuse statics state that in 1998 there were 3.13 child deaths per day. In 2012 there are now 5 child deaths, 5 child deaths per day. Did you know that every ten seconds of your life a child abuse report has been made? Or that about 80% of the children that die from child abuse are under the age of four years old?. If we don’t stop this soon the child abuse victims will spread, this is because most kids that went through child abuse are most likely to later on abuse their own children. Do you know that the kids that get abused are most likely to turn out as criminals? The percents of most children that went through child abuse and neglect are, 59% more likely to be arrested as a juvenile, 28% more likely to be arrested as an adult and 30% more likely to commit violent crimes. With child abuse we are creating criminals, and soon the jails will be jam packed with them. Childwelfare.org says that 78.3% of abuse is neglect, 10.8% is physical abuse, 7.6% is sexual abuse, 7.6% psychological maltreatment, 2.4% medical neglect, and 9.6% other causes.  “This is just an absolutely horrific crime”, states a phoenix police. I think that we can all agree here that child abuse is terrible, just terrible. You can even see the pictures everyone is sharing on facebook about little kids that were abused, it’s disgusting and is against the law. One 9 year old girl named Savannah Hardin ate a candy bar on her bus on the way home from school. Once her grandmother found out, she made Savannah run for 3 straight hours. Savannah later got dehydrated and started having seizers. She was rushed to the hospital and died later that day. The police reported that her caretakers were put in jail. Another good example of child abuse is Joesph Kony, a cruel man who stole kids away from their family and made them child soldiers, and much more.  We need to stop this intolerance, we need to stop it now.
