Metamorphosis

Metamorphosis

A Poem by Xhiljola

Laying listless beneath the sea
All this pressure outweighing me
Lost in the overwhelming fluidity
But somehow this is how I learned to breath

My body dispersed throughout its vicinity
But the pieces found unity in this disharmony
And the turbulence seemed to have brought tranquility

Slowly, I found my wings hidden in the deep
Left the pieces of my body sink beneath
Turned into a Halcyon
And soared away, I did,
Roaming over land and sea,

Finally Forever Free

A poem full of fluidity. Beautiful to read. Mesmerizing and inspiring are your words. I like the title too...it's fitting. We all go through a metamorphosis at some point in time. Some find it to be a positive experience...while others resist change...they cannot break free.

I enjoyed this poem. Create a complete story in so few words. Takes great talent to do this. I like the flow of thoughts and the very good ending. Thank you for the outstanding poetry.

It's good. I like the concept of breaking away from something. It could use some tweaking though. The beat is somewhat confusing in the second and third paragraphs. Nice job though!
