Life's Torment

Life's Torment

A Poem by LEVELSBOY
"

The troubles life can bring upon

"

The soul is torn between two maelstroms

One can either accept the one and face the waves of wrath from the other

One being the disappointment of the many you love even while unknown

And the other the wrath of sinful flesh’s torrent

The eye sheds tears

The pain too great

He wishes for relief, but life would not ignore a single soul

Every living soul must suffer a challenge

Some suffer poverty, others sickness, still others scorn

But few suffer all

And even fewer his own body

Still is it tough to suffer from your own body and yet smile

Knowing that you are not allowed to do otherwise?
