Friends ?

true friends? Fake friends? How a friendship can disintegrate slowly/quickly

We used to get on so well,

On what went wrong I dwell.

We used to laugh a lot,

Being close, we now are not.

 

I put so much effort in,

Your effort started wearing thin.

I forgave you when you ditched me,

How much you hurt me, you can't see.

 

You lied to me about a boy,

Our friendship you did destroy.

You were hardly ever there when i needed you,

I was self harming and you totally knew.

 

I became depressed and low,

suddenly you became my foe.

I made friends with new girls,

And to them I felt equal.

i think we have all been there... watching a long term friendship go down the drain. what took years to build gets ruined in moments. Its sad and i can relate, but things like this only make us stronger. Nice poem! :)
