BreathingA Poem by xevosIt was easy. Too easy. Something is bound to get wrong and yet, it still comes. As natural as breathing.
(17) Love has never been an easy thing
The faces in the corridor were all a blur-- (as is the rest of the world's) --voices were slurs of syllables and randomised sequencing of letters. (when directed at him, he could swear there was the underlying tone of loathing) There was an endless distraction in the classroom. (the ticking of the clock mocks him daily) Laughter was an unknown feeling. (it could be heard, yes, but it was never there when he attempted to) Friends were a supposed comfort (but they were drifting further away. (18) but when she came around Yet there was a day when it all changed-- (the sweet smell of candy) --it was like a photograph engraved in his mind-- (the background is a splash of shine and colour) --the tilt of the head-- (the vague memory of the warm summer breeze) --the coy smile-- (her bright eyes contained happiness) --it was something unlikely to forget. (19) it was as natural as breathing.
