Metaphorically Speaking

Metaphorically Speaking

A Poem by Richard Morimanno

Your heart, a fire

Cold and half frozen

Your love was iron

Weak and broken

Your charm is a star

Dull and gloomy

Your voice, an acoustic guitar

Harsh and spooky

Your eyes were flowers

Awful and Dreary

Your pretty smile was spring showers

Grotesque and eerie

I'm sorry if this was misleading

I was Just metaphorically speaking
