Latent LoveA Poem by Richard Morimanno
Oh, to tell her how I feel,
Would take a heart of solid steel. For if I were rejected, I’d know my delicate heart’s protected
But, my heart’s of solid flesh, No sign, no hint of chain-mailed mesh. Lay assailable naked and bare. In front of her beauty, so fine, so rare. Do I take this one last chance, in hopes my heart will sing and dance? Or keep this hidden deep in me, And stay forever in secrecy?© 2012 Richard Morimanno
