Can love be felt in silence?

This poem is about my own experience on loving someone without saying much, that even if I keep it hidden, it doesn't make it any less genuine. It still exists and it still endures

Can love be grasped when words are left unsaid?

How can you know the thoughts within my head?

I veil my feelings, keeping them concealed,

Yet wish to share the love my heart has healed.

Your eyes, a beauty that I long to praise,  

Your tears, a sorrow that my heart displays.  

Each smile of yours, a warmth that melts my core,  

In quiet moments, I adore you more.

When self-doubt shadows your tender grace,  

Know one heart is steadfast in its embrace.  

I wish to tell you of your worth and light,  

But silence holds my words, both day and night.

Remember how I feared to fall in deep,  

And yet, within, those feelings swiftly seeped.   

Can love be known when unspoken is its art?  

Even in silence, it lives in my heart.

Feelings and emotions in silence are so underrated. This was a beautiful expression of that. I know I have felt sometimes that if I don’t put exactly how much I care about someone into words they didn’t realize it. Sometimes I wish people would acknowledge the thousands of other ways you can show that you love someone.
