Storm of Antiquity

Storm of Antiquity

A Poem by RJ
"

Lyrics for a new song I'm improving..... haha. About a failed relationship obviously.

"

When we were young our future lay on the wings

And we made love without a care

How could we know that we were just weathering the storm

and chasing visions that weren’t there

For all the nights we had it was the dawn we couldn’t find

We left our wreckage past the shore

Memories that linger like some cosmic design

Just like a future we can’t ignore

The memories worn

Will you remember the storm

With me?

Should I remember the nights we spent alone

Or all the troubles that we’ve seen?

Should I remember what kind of maelstrom we’ve become

Or the calm we could have been?

The memories worn

Will you remember the storm

With me?
