PrologueA Chapter by C.D. AndersonThe prologue of my 'novel' "Waiting 待ち."If you ever waited for something, you know that your patience can grow old, it can collapse. You grow tired of waiting, but you still do it regardless. Why? Because there isn’t much else to do. Especially when you don’t know what you’re waiting for. Waiting can be depressing, painful. Sometimes it’s just boring, or confusing. You just may get caught up in everyday routine, and not even notice that you’re waiting for something to happen. Oblivious waiting is best, in my opinion. I always know I’m waiting for something, though. Right now, I’m waiting for my plane to land in London, my new “home”. I’ve been torn away from my real home in the United States, San Diego actually. I loved everything about that city. And now I’m stereotypically expecting huge stone buildings with red phone booths, double decker buses, and cobblestone streets. A voice rang out, granting me free of my waiting. I laid back and gazed out the window, watching the ground become closer and closer to me. Welcome home, Arielle Parker. © 2012 C.D.
