How Does Love Taste?

How Does Love Taste?

A Poem by Alias

Kisses taste different when you're drunk
They taste stale and sloppy
Like cigarettes and beer.
They don't taste like love,
they taste like lowered inhibitions.
Mint gum doesn't taste like love either
it tastes like sober sex, premeditated.
It tastes like an 'arrangement'.
I imagine love tastes like toast
or coffee, onion, or rich-tea
love must taste... accidental.

can't force things - best when they come in their own time, in their own way. we long for the real thing, not artificial. like the old saying, "when you least expect it, expect it." things taste better when they are natural. great write, thanks for sharing ...

Very well said. Clap Clap. I bet I never thought it that way but its pretty straight a thought. I always thought love was all about warm embrace in cold nights and the smell of stale cigarettes and hot coffee in the mornings. But you broke that myth for me.

Beautiful thought this one

Love, i think, is a yummiest food. It is like chocolate--the more you eat the more you crave; but also, you know that it is going to ruin you :P

love tastes sweet like honeysuckle,it feels soft like satin,it feels hot like the summer heat,it cools you down with the soft night breeze, then it encamps your soul, and touches you with sin
