When I Sat Down To Write...

When I Sat Down To Write...

A Poem by Alias

I wish my poems wrote like winds
That blew straight through my pen
Or like pretty prose
About some pretty rose
I stopped to smell the scent

But truth be told, these poems jar
The words all snag like thorns
My page is filled
With scribbles, still
I can't help writing more

Very well versed on a such a subject which at times becomes a real struggle to find the right words.

Flowed beautifully.

And that is why we always have a pen and paper nearby, waiting for those words to appear and scratch that itch. A feeling most of us know all too well, told effortlessly, with nary a snag to be seen. :)

You want your poems to write like wind but I think they flow like streams. Sorry for the obnoxious simile but I really dig the way your poem flows.
