MemoryA Poem by AliasI have an odd memory...I have an odd memory, My parents say. I don’t recall the things I ought to. Instead, I remember details, Feelings, sights and sounds That others fail to see. I remember my uncle’s ex, Crossing the rope in a museum And playing the piano for me. I remember that dad’s friend Tim, Has a dead pixel in his Computer screen. I remember my last birthday, I put my hand out the car window and felt the breeze, intently. I remember my favourite boots In nursery, purple, snakeskin. My mum donated them to charity. No-one else remembers these. But I like that, now They belong to me. © 2015 AliasFeatured Review
