PIED PIPER

PIED PIPER

A Poem by Darkness-inside-Ink

One does not want to feed the monster inside

that invisible creature that lurks in us all

it digs and claws at the door

that leads to the room that we imprison it in

little pieces seep out through the rusty keyhole

parasitic little entity

scratching at the threshold

seeking to be free

It is a piped piper

the maliciousness it causes are his rats

blind rats falling, tumbling over and over each other trying to escape

Gnawing at us day and night

tearing through destroying our lives

we have all said things we soon regret as they roll of our tongues

we have all snickered when someone we despises life is miserable

we have all said something nasty at one point in or lives

no one is perfect

those who say they are perfect

are filled full of dirty lies

we all hate to admit it but we all have this monster inside
