MECHANICAL HEARTA Poem by Darkness-inside-InkMechanical heart cold in his chest metal teeth interlocked within each other a clockwise tick as the gears go round archaic parts rusting and fractured make up the internal structure of this ancient organism his body withers and die's wrinkled and worn after centuries of abuse cast a side and discarded like a child's broken toy he wanders arched back, hunched over aimlessly searching through the wastelands of this scorched earth this old man tormented by the technology that keeps him alive once a device that brought him back from oblivion but now his curse as he waste's away his chest always ticking like a time bomb that will never go off © 2011 Darkness-inside-Ink |
